Vespers for the Dead<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Vespers from the Office of the Dead will be sung for Francine on Thursday, 10 July, 2025 at 6:30 pm Pacific Time at Saint Patrick Church<\/a> in Tacoma. The principal celebrant will be our friend, the Rev. Jacob Maurer. Music will be directed by Maestra Amy Gallwas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vespers will not be livestreamed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mass of Christian Burial<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Francine’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday 11 July, 2025\u2014the Memorial of Saint Benedict\u2014at 11:00 am Pacific Time at Saint Patrick Church<\/a> in Tacoma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The principal celebrant will be our pastor, the Very Rev. David Mulholland. Our friend, the Rev. Jacob Maurer will concelebrate and give the homily. The Rev. Mr. Gary Rose will be the Deacon of the Mass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music will be directed by Maestra Amy Gallwas, featuring members of the Schola of Saint Odo of Cluny, some old friends, and the choirs of Saint Patrick and Holy Cross parishes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This date is particularly fitting, since both Francine and I are Oblates of Saint Benedict<\/a>, associated with Saint Martin’s Abbey<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mass will be livestreamed at the Saint Patrick YouTube channel at https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@saintpatstacoma<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reception \/ Wake<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The reception with eulogies will follow immediately after the funeral in the Church hall downstairs. The eulogies will be recorded and posted to YouTube at a later date.<\/p>\n\n\n
