\nmany sorrows pierced your heart during your lifetime.
\nYet, you never despaired or lost faith.
\nWith confidence, persistence, and profound faith,
\nyou prayed daily for the conversion
\nof your beloved husband, Patricius,
\nand your beloved son, Augustine;
\nyour prayers were answered.
\nGrant me that same fortitude, patience,
\nand trust in the Lord.
\nIntercede for me, dear St. Monica,
\nthat God may favorably hear my plea for
\nthe conversion of my children
\nand grant me the grace to accept His Will in all things,
\nthrough Jesus Christ, our Lord,
\nin the unity of the Holy Spirit,
\none God, forever and ever.<\/p>\n
