I mentioned yesterday that the O Antiphons were arranged backwards into the song Veni, Veni Emmanuel<\/i>. This was by design, for the Antiphons themselves are a backwards acrostic.<\/p>\n

The first letters of the Messianic titles \u2014 Emmanuel, Rex, Oriens, Clavis, Radix, Adonai, Sapientia<\/i> \u2014 spell out the Latin words ero cras<\/b>, meaning, “Tomorrow, I will come”<\/i>. <\/p>\n

Which is pretty neat.<\/p>\n
