In the 12th Century, an unknown songwriter compiled versions of the O Antiphons into a single Advent hymn, called <i>Veni, Veni Emmanuel<\/i>. You know the English version as <i>O Come, O Come Emmanuel<\/i>. <\/p>\n<p>The song&#8217;s verses are in reverse order from the order of the antiphons.
