Well, I gave my talk this evening to our RCIA class about the Angels and the Saints.<\/p>\n

I<\/span>t went fairly well, I think.<\/p>\n

I had given the class some small bit of homework last week for this session, and it proved to be a great success. <\/p>\n

I had each of them pick a Saint who interested them or touched them in some way, and prepare to tell the class about him or her this week.<\/p>\n

St. Juan Diego<\/p><\/div>It was a lot of fun, and we went way over time this evening. <\/p>\n

One of the young ladies who gave her report actually cried while telling us about how in researching Saint Juan Diego<\/a> had touched her life and brought her closer to God. <\/p>\n

She described for us how praying to the Saint had given her strength in the face of scornful family and co-workers. It was very moving and quite wonderful.<\/p>\n

Blessed Juan Diego,
\nyou faced the skepticism and rejection of a bishop and the crowds
\nto bring Mary’s message to Mexico.
\nPray for us that when we are faced with obstacles to our faith
\nwe may show that same courage and commitment.
