I look like a gnome.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nO<\/span>n the beautiful, sun-shiny Saturday just past, Francine and I walked 18 kilometers. I’m still a little achy! <\/p>\n

Francine’s foot was bothering her, and she very nearly called it quits at 4k. Instead, we slowed our pace down from 13-minute kilometers to 15-minute kilometers, and that made all the difference in the world.<\/p>\n

We still needed rest breaks every so often, but we walked most of the morning and into the early afternoon.<\/p>\n

I felt a little like a bridled horse, wanting to charge forward. I got it out of my system by walking a quick pace around the pond while Francine rested. It was maybe ten minutes, but after that I was fine. That was really all it took.<\/p>\n

Twenty days!<\/p>\n
