A<\/span>t my parish of Holy Rosary in Tacoma<\/a>, we are celebrating Sunday Vespers as we do each Lent. While some weeks, this will be simple chanted Vespers, most weeks this year it will be a form of Solemn Vespers.<\/p>\n

Father Wichert led us in Solemn Vespers last night, chanted in the Presence of the exposed Blessed Sacrament. This was followed by Benediction and the singing of the Marian antiphon.<\/p>\n

It was glorious<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Our choir director, Mrs. Victoria Solenberger<\/a>, facilitated the chant, and we were joined by Rev. Jerry Sherbourne. Afterward, he said to me, “this <\/em>is the way you celebrate liturgy!”<\/p>\n

So, please, join us in the coming weeks if you are local and able. Chanted Vespers is a beautiful and traditional way of worship in our faith.<\/p>\n
