There are more similarities than differences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are in no particular order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Quaerere Deum<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This documentary was produced in 2011 at the Monastery of Saint Benedict in Norcia, Italy, the birthplace of the saint. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/o9fDs9_eWY4\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2016, the monastery &#8211; indeed, much of the town &#8211; was flattened by a series of earthquakes. This video captures the spirit of Benedictine life in Norcia, but quite a bit has changed since the earthquake, including the start of construction of a new monastery on the hills overlooking the town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To learn more, visit <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"nursia.org (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/en.nursia.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">nursia.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Living the Liturgy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A wonderful documentary filmed about 2010 that examines Our Lady of Clear Creek Abbey in Oklahoma. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/0Rii92S_5Og\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Founded in 1999, Clear Creek became an abbey in 2010. The community currently counts 50 monks. They, too, are embarked on an ambitious building project. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Find out more at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"clearcreekmonks.org (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/clearcreekmonks.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">clearcreekmonks.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Silverstream Priory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A newer offering, produced just last year. This documentary examines the Benedictine Monks at Silverstream Priory in Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/XZ06Rnc7AGc\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A group of American ex-patriot monks founded Silverstream Priory in Stamullen, County Meath, Ireland in 2012. It was the first monastic foundation in the County since Henry VIII. The primary mission of this small monastery is the liturgy and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can find out more about them at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"cenacleosb.org (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cenacleosb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">cenacleosb.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Chant from the Monks of Pluscarden Abbey<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Finally, what would monks be without Gregorian chant?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/g_M6cF4Y1TI\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Founded in 1230, Pluscarden Abbey in Scotland is the only medieval British monastery still being used for its original purpose.
