We had six weeks this time, so we took it a little slower than last time. There were even rest days.<\/p>\n<p>We flew out of Seattle on Easter Sunday and into Madrid. From there, we caught a train to Pamplona. We spent a lovely evening at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corazonpuro.es\/Enghome.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pensi\u00f3n Coraz\u00f3n Puro<\/a>. They picked us up at the Pamplona train station, and the next morning they drove us to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. <\/p>\n<p>We spent a day and a night in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, supping and sleeping at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beilari.info\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Beilari<\/a>, which used to be L&#8217;Esprit du Chemin.<\/p>\n<p>And then, the walk began! We walked the Camino Franc\u00e9s, the same route I walked in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>There were many adventures en route, including injuries, hundred-year rains and flooding, and the gentle touch of God and His Saints, all in the company of fast friends made over the course of the journey.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of our Camino, we spent a relaxing few days in Santiago before flying back to Madrid and then home.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Francine and I walked our second Camino &#8211; our first full Camino together &#8211; in the spring of 2016.
