Along the way, we saw this young lady up on a wall. She is, I believe, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Catherine_of_Alexandria\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Catherine_of_Alexandria\" target=\"_blank\">Saint Catherine of Alexandria<\/a> (not to be confused with <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Catherine_of_Siena\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Catherine_of_Siena\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Saint Catherine of Siena<\/a>, whose feast is this week). In the early fourth century, at the age of about 18, she was martyred (hence the palm of martyrdom). She was first broken on the wheel and then, since she was a Roman citizen, was executed by beheading.
