Even so, we had started early in the day, and we were looking for lunch. Sightseeing would have to wait! Although the town is considered a major overnight stopping place for pilgrims, we would be pushing on towards Carri\u00f3n de los Condos. Yes, it would be a long day (the longest Camino day ever for me), but there was a solid reason behind our madness, as you will see over the next week or two worth of photos.
