I<\/span>n the village of Poblaci\u00f3n de Campos, pilgrims must make a decision. Continue walking along the highway for the rest of the day, or take the detour through the countryside. The detour is longer by a couple of kilometers, but the reports we heard were all that it was a more pleasant walk. It would also severely limit our options for where we could stay the night, all but guaranteeing that we would have to push on all the way to Carri\u00f3n de los Condes – and it was currently almost one o’clock in the afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
