Along the Way, we passed this mileage marker. Now, many times pilgrims will leave a little memento on top of these. I&#8217;ve seen everything from notes to mini-cairns to trashed hiking boots. I found this particular offering moving: a paper crane and a red stone on which someone had inked their initials.
