I<\/span>n Le\u00f3n, we checked into the Benedictine monastery in the city center. While most of the pilgrims checked into the albergue run by the Sisters, I took a room at the Hospederia Monastica Pax<\/a>, a hotel also run by the Sisters and located in basically the same building. Francine was arriving in Le\u00f3n today, and I thought she might like a more comfortable first night on Camino. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

These extremely large carvings of the Medal of Saint Benedict<\/a> are located within the monastery complex. I just love them, and the image on the left has been my phone background for going on nine years now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
