I<\/span>n the morning, Francine and I headed for the bus station. We had decided that Francine’s first day walking the Camino shouldn’t be the typical stage from Le\u00f3n to Villadangos del P\u00e1ramo, since much of that was sidewalks and suburbia. Instead, we took a bus to Hospital de \u00d3rbigo, which would have been our lunch the following day. So, essentially, we skipped out on a day and a half of walking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the record, I’ve never<\/em> walked this section of the Camino Franc\u00e9s. On our 2016 Camino, we also had to skip this section<\/a> for entirely different reasons. One of my life goals is to walk the entirety of the Camino Franc\u00e9s from Saint-Jean – or Lourdes or Le Puy – and not<\/em> skip any bits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
