One of the first photos I took that day was this &#8211; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomryng.com\/camino\/camino-photo-of-the-day-the-cross-of-saint-james\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cross of Saint James<\/a> (i.e. Santiago) on an outdoor wall somewhere in the town. It looks somewhat like a sword, as this was the instrument by which his martyrdom was accomplished (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Acts+12%3A1%E2%80%932&amp;version=RSVCE\" target=\"_blank\">Acts 12:1\u20132<\/a>). After four Caminos, I finally got this symbol tattooed on my arm in remembrance.
