It was a little jog off of the highway, for which we were grateful. By this time our little band had grown to six: Smith and Tara from Indiana, Iain from Glasgow (who we met entering the village), Anya from Nuremburg, and the two of us. We had a delightful lunch in the local bar together. You will note that the sign has been defaced from the Spanish spelling to the Galician spelling of the village&#8217;s name. We saw quite a bit of this on the borderlands between Castilla y Le\u00f3n and Galicia, and even within Galicia itself.
