Like many of the pieces of public art on the Camino, it depicts Santiago, though it gives prominence to the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cross_of_Saint_James\" target=\"_blank\">Cross of Saint James<\/a> or <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Cruz_de_Santiago\" target=\"_blank\"><em>Cruz de Santiago<\/em><\/a>. This town of Triacastela is a point of decision in the Camino: to press on to Sarria, or to take the alternate route to the great Benedictine Monastery of Samos.
