As we entered into the central portion of the town of Samos, this was our first close-up view of the magnificent <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/es.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Monasterio_de_San_Juli%C3%A1n_de_Samos\" target=\"_blank\">Real Monasterio de San Juli\u00e1n de Samos<\/a> &#8211; the Royal Monastery of Saint Julian in Samos. It was slightly overwhelming, and our plan was to stay in the albergue located within the monastery itself.
