I<\/span>n the course of my liturgical volunteerism, I’ve worked in a lot of sacristies, but I think I can say with confidence that none of them approach the size or serenity of the one found in the Real Monasterio de San Juli\u00e1n de Samos<\/a>. It is big, but the monastery once had dozens of priests, and the church itself is of immense size. I’ve since been in a couple of cathedral sacristies in Spain, in Santiago and in Lugo, and while they might be larger, none of them quite match the feeling of serenity I got in this place. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
