A<\/span>s I mentioned a few days ago<\/a>, there are a maze of paths and roads from Samos to Sarria, many with Camino signs and markings, and we weren’t entirely sure which route we were on. This sign, which in theory gives us the name of the village and the distance to Santiago, is actually no help whatsoever. I defy you to find a village with this name on a map anywhere near Samos or Sarria. The distance marker – if it’s accurate – puts us about 3km or so from the edge of Sarria and perhaps a kilometer or so from the village of Vigo de Sarria, where many of the routes merge. In any case, it was about 11:30 so we stopped into the local caf\u00e9 and grabbed some late elevenses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
