Once you cross the long, scary bridge, there&#8217;s a final obstacle to get into the town of Portomar\u00edn &#8211; the stairs! After a long day&#8217;s walk, they&#8217;re absolutely brutal. Oh, you could follow the road to the right with the cars and trucks and eventually loop around into town, but that&#8217;s not a short walk.
