The nerve."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"wpsdc-drop-cap\">Y<\/span>\u2019all  It has been a day and it\u2019s not even lunchtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Date:<\/strong> 16 August 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Place<\/strong>: Pistachio House<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I am really trying to blog but I am out of practice. Bear with me as I catch you up\u2026 because reasons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>5am<\/strong>. Awake. See a plethora of messages from Thom about missed connections. Once again\u2026 he pledges <em>never<\/em> to fly through Heathrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>6am<\/strong> Coffee. Blessed coffee. More on that in a minute.  Airbnb message. They cancelled because the city of Santiago has shut them down. If anyone can read this, let me know why because I can\u2019t make heads or tails.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I spend the next hour trying to book a different accommodation for as cheap as that one. I settle on the noisy one. I argue with the old airbnb to cancel the reservation at their end. It looks bad on me. He argues it will cost him 20% of the reservation to cancel it at his end. He keeps insisting. I request for them to cancel it. He does not. Not happy. Will leave a complaint with airbnb. <em>My coffee gets cold. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>7:20am<\/strong> Head out on my hike. Keep getting interrupted with messages from various and sundry. Have my AirPods in. Siri keeps misinterpreting. I keep stopping. It\u2019s annoying. I stop at 7km rather than the 8 I would have finished. It\u2019s fine. It\u2019s FINEIt has been a day and it\u2019s not even lunchtime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It gets better.
