Yesterday we saw Walking the Camino<\/a>, a documentary, at The Grand Cinema<\/a>. It was my second time and Francine’s first. I was struck again by how faithful it was to the spirit of the Camino de Santiago.<\/p>\n Although it tells the stories of six specific pilgrims, both Francine and I found echoes of our own experiences in theirs. Parts of it were just like being there, on the Way again.<\/p>\n And for the second time, I cried at the opening scene, where one of the pilgrims arrives at the square in front of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.<\/p>\n Immediately afterwards, we walked around Snake Lake and reminisced and planned in the glorious afternoon greenery, stomping through the mud up and down hill.<\/p>\n Total walking yesterday was a paltry 6 kilometers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" One year ago today, Easter Sunday it was, I boarded a plane at SeaTac International Airport and flew to Spain.
