At some point we&#8217;d lost Appolina, as she was young and speedy and ran ahead of us. The tower is all that remains of a castle known as <a href=\"https:\/\/fr.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ch%C3%A2teau_de_la_Clauze\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ch\u00e2teau de la Clauze<\/a>. This octagonal keep dates to the 14th century.
