T<\/span>hese days Domaine du Sauvage<\/a> is owned by a farmers’ cooperative, and all of the food and drink (including the beer!) in the place is sourced from farms and producers within a day’s walk. Many of the folks I met here were hikers rather than pilgrims, though that guy sitting next to me is Laurent from Paris. He was also walking all the way to Santiago, though we lost touch after just a couple of days. He eventually arrived several days after me, as he took a detour to Lourdes along the way. The woman on the far left is Delphin\u00e9 from Brittany, who helped me with some translation issues when I tried to use the washing machine. She was a great help! I ran into her several times over the course of the next week or so and had some great pilgrim conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
