U<\/span>nlike Francine, I seldom photograph my meals. However, this lunch in Aumont-Aubrac – at the restaurant attached to my g\u00eete no less – was exceptional. Those potatoes are a local favourite called aligot<\/a>. More on that in a couple of days. You also see here a can of the ubiquitous Orangina<\/a>, quite my favourite refreshing drink in France. It’s just past one in the afternoon, and my walking journey today is at an end. Steve and I arrived here more than an hour ahead of my most optimistic estimate. This was a Very Good Thing, as the temperature had reached 95\u00b0 and I had walked something like 29 kilometers today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
