W<\/span>e came to the end of the Aubrac plateau in the little village of Aubrac, the headquarters of the regional natural park, also called Aubrac. Alex and I arrived at about 8AM in search of someplace to have second breakfast. Then we were expecting a long, steep downhill off the plateau. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At some point during the morning’s walk, we left the Loz\u00e8re<\/a> D\u00e9partement<\/a> and entered the Aveyron D\u00e9partement<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you’re the sort who looks at the maps, you’ll note that the stage shown is 32+km long. I split this up into two days, since I wanted to spend some time exploring both Saint-Ch\u00e9ly-d’Aubrac and Saint-C\u00f4me-d’Olt, both of which are on the list of most beautiful villages in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
