I<\/span> stopped in the only caf\u00e9 in the village of Bessu\u00e9jouls for a quick pick-me-up. It was about 10:30 in the morning, and the temperature outside was already oppressive. In these days of walking through the French heatwave, Orangina came to my rescue again and again. As I was relaxing in the caf\u00e9 just after I snapped this photo, Nina<\/a> passed by, and then, to my surprise, Dominique<\/a>, who I originally met on my first day walking. She had expected to take a (poorly waymarked) alternate route through the mountains a few days ago, but had apparently gotten lost and needed to be rescued.\u00a0Such is the way of the pilgrim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
