A<\/span>t about noon, I arrived in the village of Saint-F\u00e9lix. Here in 1944 the Nazis massacred<\/a> many of the civilians of the town – on one occasion using howitzers – because of a suspected Maquis<\/a> cell in the village. When I visited the church I discovered that while Saint Felix is depicted, the church is actually dedicated to Sainte-Radegonde<\/a>.\u00a0I ran into Nina<\/a> and Judy (one of the Australians<\/a>), and we had a bit of a picnic lunch together from the food truck behind the church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
