A<\/span>fter dinner, we headed back to the g\u00eete and beheld Rocamadour. I wish I had a better camera – I had to zoom pretty heavily to get the image. You can clearly see the three levels of the place: the medieval village at the bottom, the sanctuary district in the middle with its basilica and shrine to the Black Madonna, and the ch\u00e2teau perched at the top. It looks absolutely unreal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I walked the GR6 from Figeac to Rocamadour and the GR46 on to Cahors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
