{"id":2911,"date":"2014-09-10T13:41:55","date_gmt":"2014-09-10T20:41:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thomryng.com\/camino\/?p=2911"},"modified":"2014-09-10T13:41:55","modified_gmt":"2014-09-10T20:41:55","slug":"route-for-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thomryng.com\/camino\/route-for-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Route for 2016?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"drop\">Francine and I have been noodling about what our second Camino &#8211; our first full Camino together &#8211; will look like.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"wpsdc-drop-cap\">F<\/span>irst off, we&#8217;re going to take it slow.<\/p>\n<p>Our initial thought is to fly out of Seattle on Easter Sunday 2016 and in to Barcelona. From there, we&#8217;ll catch a Ryan Air flight to Lourdes and spend a day there.<\/p>\n<p>Then we&#8217;ll take a train from Lourdes to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port and spend the night there, hopefully at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beilari.info\/en\" target=\"_blank\">Beilari<\/a>, which used to be L&#8217;Esprit du Chemin.<\/p>\n<p>And then, the walk begins. We will walk the Camino Franc\u00e9s, the same route I walked in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Our plan is to spend a rest day in the Cathedral cities, more or less.<\/p>\n<p>When we arrive at Santiago, we&#8217;ll probably spend a couple of days there before taking a Ryan Air flight back to Barcelona. We&#8217;d like to spend a couple of days there before heading home.<\/p>\n<p>This is, I must stress, all extremely preliminary.
