T<\/span>his beautiful statue of Our Lady stands at the bottom of the Alto de Perd\u00f3n, just before the village of Uterga. She is in a small garden amid a handful of memorial markers. She is a poignant reminder that sometimes, pilgrims don’t make it to Santiago. Indeed, a reminder perhaps that we are on a larger pilgrimage on earth, from God through His creation and then, hopefully, back to Him. And on that pilgrim road, we need all the help we can get, and we need to give all the help to our fellow pilgrims that we can. We stopped here a moment here to reflect and pray.<\/p>\n
