W<\/span>elcome to N\u00e1jera! Centuries ago, this bustling town was the royal capital of the Kingdom of Navarra. Indeed, many of Navarra’s kings and queens are buried here. Nowadays, thanks to twentieth-century politics and war, it’s not even in <\/em>Navarra. When we arrived in N\u00e1jera, it had been cold and rainy, we were tired, we hadn’t had lunch yet, and it was well into the afternoon. I think the look on Francine’s face says it all. We were not <\/em>happy campers. Across the street, you see our lunch destination.<\/p>\n
