I understand that for many of these village churches, there is a cost associated with keeping them open, but I&#8217;ve seen a number of clever ways of mitigating this. Some have albergues attached to or even inside the church. Some have coin-operated lights for taking photos. Some have their daily Masses scheduled for the evenings. There are options.
