This is a city where, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomryng.com\/camino\/la-rioja-where-the-wind-comes-whipping-down-the-plain\/\" target=\"_blank\">so the legends go<\/a>, &#8220;the streets are paved with chorizo and jamon, the fountains flow with vino tinto and the river is surely cerveza.&#8221; Thanks to the hilly terrain and the fact that the city is in a river valley, you don&#8217;t see it until you&#8217;re right up on it.
