When we were there, a bed for the night was a mere \u20ac5. For an additional \u20ac5, you could buy into a meal prepared by the hospitaleros. Needless to say, everybody did, because (a) even doubling the cost of the night was still what most albergues charge for just a bed, and (b) unless you packed in your dinner, there wasn&#8217;t any other choice. Dinner was an enormous paella, shared around the table, and wine. In addition to Francine at the table, you will see a number of our new friends from the Evergreen State College.
