This is an ancient village associated with the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Knights_Templar\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Knights Templar<\/a>, the legend of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/El_Cid\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">El Cid<\/a>, and is even mentioned in the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Codex_Calixtinus\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Codex Calixtinus<\/a> as a &#8220;prosperous and excellent village, abundant in bread, wine, meat and all kinds of products&#8221;.
