This is the ceiling of the Catedral de Santa Mar\u00eda de Astorga. One of the things that I love about the interior<span id='easy-footnote-1-6759' class='easy-footnote-margin-adjust'><\/span><span class='easy-footnote'><a href='https:\/\/www.thomryng.com\/camino\/camino-photo-of-the-day-cathedral-ceiling\/#easy-footnote-bottom-1-6759' title='Most emphatically not true of the &lt;em&gt;exteriors&lt;\/em&gt;!'><sup>1<\/sup><\/a><\/span> of most Spanish churches is that they are mostly so simple and elegant &#8211; except of course the altars, which are explosions of vibrancy and colour and texture.
