It starts out winding and rocky and progresses by steeper stages until it&#8217;s practically a scramble. You have to take this path in a slow and methodical way, or you&#8217;ll certainly twist an ankle by the bottom. It&#8217;s made somewhat frustrating by the fact that you can see the town for ages, including (as you get closer) a bar with a veranda full of pilgrims.
