The thing about Santiago &#8211; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thomryng.com\/camino\/one-year-ago-santiago-de-compostela\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">I&#8217;ve said this more eloquently in the past<\/a> &#8211; is that it is a <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Typology_(theology)\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">type<\/a> of heaven. As you walk in that final day, you run into people you know, but whom you haven&#8217;t seen in days or weeks. They encourage you and cheer you on. And when you actually arrive, it seems as though everybody is there, joyously celebrating. Every meeting is a homecoming.
