I will follow the medieval pilgrimage trail known as the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Camino_de_Santiago\" target=\"_blank\">Camino de Santiago<\/a>, starting from the mountain village of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port\" target=\"_blank\">Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port<\/a> in the French Pyrenees. <\/p>\n<p>A month later I will arrive in the city of Santiago de Compostella, at the Cathedral where the remains of the Apostle <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/James,_son_of_Zebedee\" target=\"_blank\">Saint James<\/a> are said to be interred.<\/p>\n<p>The Way begins in a village named for the Apostle John, son of Zebedee, and it ends at a city named for his older brother. <\/p>\n<p>Perhaps it is a metaphorical voyage from John&#8217;s poetry to James&#8217; practicality. Who knows?<\/p>\n<p>In any case, my plan is to walk the entire <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/French_Way\" target=\"_blank\">769km<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Ah, now <em>that <\/em>is the question. The Lord calls me, and I must follow the Way.
