J<\/span>ust before we approach the walls of the old city, the Camino comes to this beautiful riverside park. Then we pass over over the R\u00edo Arga on the Puente de la Magdelena (Magdelene Bridge). The bridge was built in the twelfth century, modified with Gothic elements in the fifteenth century, and extensively remodeled in the twentieth century. This bridge has been a fixture for pilgrims entering Pamplona for almost 900 years. Our original plan had been to stay at a German albergue just on the other side of the bridge, but Carlos persuaded us to try the Albergue Municipal de Jes\u00fas y Maria<\/a> in the city center. Here we see Eamon taking a photo of the flowers in the park. He must have had a much better camera than I did!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
