Camino Photo of the Day: Corridors of Le Grand Couvent
The pilgrim dorms at Le Grand Couvent de Gramat all open to this long arcade, which itself faces an open courtyard. Although the spaces were crowded, they were comfortable enough. In our cramped little dorm room, we had Ávila, Bruno, Martinique, me, and two empty beds. But you can’t beat the architecture! I snapped this photo as Ávila led me through the maze of the convent to the chapel.

Maps!
The site I’ve been using for my daily maps, Gronze.com, while otherwise great, unfortunately doesn’t have maps for this variant. So here’s a map from my book Practical Pilgrimage showing the entirety of the three main variants and larger sub-variants. I walked the GR6 from Figeac to Rocamadour and the GR46 on to Cahors.
