Camino Photo of the Day: Looking Down to the Town

For the next few days (through the Thanksgiving break), I’ll be posting some of the spectacular views from Rocamadour. Looking down, you can see the old medieval town on the level below the Sanctuary level. It follows the cliffside until it becomes nothing more than a treacherously steep hill.

So here’s a map from my book Practical Pilgrimage showing the entirety of the three main variants and larger sub-variants. I walked the GR6 from Figeac to Rocamadour and the GR46 on to Cahors.
