We made it to Villares de Órbigo with little trouble. The Way was wet and a little muddy, but not too bad. The village itself is small but remarkably tidy, and it definitely has a whimsical side, which perhaps you discern from the albergue’s paint scheme. We passed this lovely spot while walking through Hospital de Órbigo. The town is delightful, and I’d like to spend the night at some point. It would rather require that one walks from León, however.
