Pilgrims on the Way

Camino Photo of the Day: Dominique

I met Dominque on my first day walking, and we stayed in the same gîtes any number of times. I’m usually pretty bad at selfies with friends I meet along the Way, so I had resolved to be better about it on this Camino. This was only marginally successful, I’m afraid. The photo was taken at 8:00 in the morning near the cemetery on the way out of Gramat, because although we were both planning on going to Rocamadour today, there was a chance that we would miss each other there. And Dominique was going west from Rocamadour, while I was returning to the main route of the Via Podiensis.

Maps!

The site I’ve been using for my daily maps, Gronze.com, while otherwise great, unfortunately doesn’t have maps for this variant. So here’s a map from my book Practical Pilgrimage showing the entirety of the three main variants and larger sub-variants. I walked the GR6 from Figeac to Rocamadour and the GR46 on to Cahors.
