Camino Photo of the Day: Rocamadour’s Château
From the top of Rocamadour’s Way of the Cross, you can see the château that once guarded the top of the cliff. It dates from the 13th century, though the actual fortifications were demolished sometime after the Revolution. Nowadays, it’s the residence of the folks who work in the Sanctuary district, as well as being a swanky hotel.

Maps!
The site I’ve been using for my daily maps, Gronze.com, while otherwise great, unfortunately doesn’t have maps for this variant. So here’s a map from my book Practical Pilgrimage showing the entirety of the three main variants and larger sub-variants. I walked the GR6 from Figeac to Rocamadour and the GR46 on to Cahors.
