Camino Photo of the Day: Puente La Reina at Sunset

On our way back to our albergue after dinner, Mass, and some sightseeing, I snapped this photo of the town as we crossed its eponymous bridge. I love the way the buildings just sort of glow in the light of the setting sun. They seemed so grey and lifeless earlier in the afternoon, but now they looked warm and inviting.

  • The setting sun… and we busted butt to beat sundown as we hiked back up that hill. But I really liked that albuergue. I imagine it’s a nuthouse at high season.

Yeah, I bet it is. We pretty much had the run of the place, but there were hundreds and hundreds of bunks there.
