Camino Photo of the Day: Inside Burgos Cathedral (3 of 5)

Although I have taken literally hundreds of photos of the interior of the Cathedral in Burgos, I’ve limited myself to just five photos for this project. Within the many side chapels, there are countless tombs. Who this gentleman is, I’ve no idea. He’s dressed in the Spanish biretta and vested for Mass, except that for some reason he appears to be wearing a cope over his chasuble. The sculpture is absolutely exquisite. You almost feel like he could arise up from his couch at any time, which of course is the idea.
